TLS Air Conditioning & Insulation was founded in 2015 by brothers Seth and Thomas Hoerig. Their goal was straightforward: help Florida homeowners improve comfort by treating insulation and air conditioning as connected parts of the home.
Seth leads the insulation side of TLS. His work focuses on attic insulation, heat transfer, air leakage, and the problems that place unnecessary pressure on cooling systems. He is also the subject-matter expert behind TLS insulation content.
Thomas leads the company’s HVAC and air conditioning services. His focus includes system performance, equipment sizing, AC replacement, and cooling solutions suited to Florida’s heat and humidity. Thomas also reviews HVAC content published by TLS.
Together, the brothers have grown TLS from a small family operation into a full-service HVAC and insulation company serving Punta Gorda, Charlotte County, and communities across Florida’s Gulf Coast.
TLS operates under Florida HVAC Contractor License #CAC1822364. Its in-house crews complete each project without passing the work to outside subcontractors. This connected approach helps homeowners understand how their AC system, ductwork, air sealing, and insulation affect comfort throughout the home.
Every technician is fully licensed, insured, and background-checked before stepping onto your property.
If a repair doesn’t hold, we come back and fix it at no additional charge.
Your AC and attic insulation handled by the same crew, not two separate contractors.
Trusted across Florida’s Gulf Coast, with a verifiable track record behind every job.
Available any hour for AC emergencies across Punta Gorda, with no after-hours surcharge.
Hands-on experience with this harbor community’s climate, not a national franchise script.
These verified reviews reflect what matters most to homeowners choosing an HVAC and insulation company. Our dependable installers, clean workmanship, responsive support, honest pricing, and finished results have earned a stellar reputation across Southwest Florida.
“TLS did an amazing job on our AC replacement. I qualified for a Duke Energy rebate program and they filled out all the paperwork — completely seamless. Met the owner Seth and really enjoyed working with his crew. Everything was done beautifully, on time, and they exceeded my expectations from start to finish.”
“TLS replaced our 14-year-old AC that had been struggling for years. The new high-efficiency system cools the whole house evenly, runs much quieter, and our electric bill dropped over $80 the first month. Crew was professional, finished in one day, and the Duke Energy rebate hit our invoice directly.”
“By far the best money spent on my home. House is much more comfortable, AC barely cycles on now compared to our old system. Whisper quiet, energy-efficient, and the install was done in a single day. Crew respected our home — drop cloths everywhere, swept up before they left. Highly recommend TLS.”
“Called TLS when our AC stopped cooling on a Saturday morning. Technician arrived within two hours, diagnosed a failed capacitor, replaced it on the spot, and had the house cooling again before lunch. Honest pricing, no upsell attempts, just straightforward repair. This is the AC company we’ll use from now on.”
“AC stopped working mid-July — TLS dispatched a tech the same day. He diagnosed the issue, replaced a failed contactor and recharged the refrigerant. Had cold air blowing within 90 minutes. Reasonable price, no unnecessary parts pushed. Honest, fast, professional — exactly what you want when your AC dies in Florida summer.”
“I had three AC companies come out for replacement quotes. TLS was the most professional and thorough — Manual J load calc, written guarantee, transparent pricing. Crew installed the new system in one day, no mess, no surprises. Our home cools faster and our July bill dropped over $100. Worth every penny.”
“TLS installed a new high-efficiency AC system for us last month. The whole house is noticeably cooler, runs much quieter than our old unit, and the FPL rebate showed up on our invoice — no paperwork on our end. Quick installation, fair price, and they explained every step. Couldn’t be happier.”
“Had TLS install a new high-efficiency AC in my 2-story home. Free estimate, no pressure, clear written quote. They sized the system correctly using Manual J load calc — my old contractor had installed an oversized unit. New install runs efficiently and keeps every room at temperature. Whisper quiet.”
“TLS came out for spring AC tune-up. Cleaned the coils, checked refrigerant pressure, inspected the condensate drain, tightened electrical connections. They caught a failing capacitor before it killed the compressor — saved me thousands. Unit runs noticeably cooler since the service. Worth every dollar.”
“Second time using TLS — first for AC replacement, now for attic insulation. Both times flawless. This is the only HVAC and insulation company I’ll ever call. Their techs are knowledgeable, respectful, fast, and clean. New AC plus better insulation cut our cooling bill 35%. 5 stars doesn’t feel enough.”
“Old AC finally gave out after 13 years. TLS came out, assessed it honestly, and walked us through repair-vs-replace numbers. New high-efficiency system is incredible — runs cool and quiet, electric bill down significantly. Clean job, permit included, FPL rebate handled. Honest, fair, professional.”
“Incredible experience. TLS was on time, professional, crew was clean and efficient. Electric bill dropped significantly the first month after our AC replacement. Best investment I ever made for my home. Would 100% recommend to anyone in Florida looking for honest AC service.”
Weak airflow, warm air, or a breaker that won’t stay on all point to a specific failure, and we find it fast. Our $125 diagnostic fee rolls straight into the repair cost once you give us the go-ahead.
Swapping in a new system means matching capacity to your home’s square footage and duct layout, not just copying the old unit’s tonnage. You’ll see the full estimate in writing before anything is scheduled.
A screened lanai, converted garage, or room addition that your main unit never reaches gets its own standalone cooling zone, wired in without disturbing the ductwork already in place.
New builds and additions throughout Punta Gorda get equipment sized for that specific space and installed to current Florida Building Code, with permitting handled as part of the job.
Twice-yearly maintenance under our $49 tune-up catches worn belts, low refrigerant, and failing capacitors while they’re still cheap fixes, not mid-July emergencies.
A strange smell, a hissing sound, or a system that just won’t shut off usually points to something specific. We talk you through what it likely means before scheduling a visit.
Florida Building Code Climate Zone 2 sets the attic minimum at R-38, and we install to that depth, not the thinner coverage that’s common in older Charlotte County construction.
Exterior wall cavities in older homes often sat empty or under-filled since construction. Blown-in material fills those gaps from the outside, no drywall removal required.
Insulation that’s taken on water, mold, or pest damage gets pulled out completely first. Installing new material over a contaminated attic just buries the problem.
Seams and joints in attic ductwork open up over time, bleeding cooled air before it ever reaches a vent. We mastic-seal every accessible connection to stop the loss.
Loose-fill fiberglass fills attics, odd-shaped cavities, and hard-to-reach corners to the depth your specific home calls for, measured on site rather than assumed.
Walls, floors, and additions where blown-in material isn’t practical get cut-to-fit batt insulation, installed tight against the framing with no compression or gaps.
A bare garage door passes attic-level heat straight into the rooms beside it. An insulated panel cuts that transfer and knocks down road noise too.
Our complete insulation lineup, attic through garage door, is built around what humidity and heat do to a Charlotte County home over the long run, not a one-size national spec.

TLS Air Conditioning & Insulation is a family-owned Florida company. Our Punta Gorda office at 6150 Golf Course Blvd serves homeowners across the city and the surrounding Charlotte County area, including Cleveland, Harbour Heights, Lake Suzy, Arcadia, North Fort Myers, Alva, Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Gardner, Cape Coral, and Iona.
We provide AC repair, replacement, installation, maintenance, and ductless mini-split service. Our insulation work covers attic, blown-in, wall, batt, and garage door insulation, along with removal, air sealing, and duct sealing. We inspect your home’s actual condition before recommending any work, and calls are answered around the clock, whether you need urgent AC help or want to schedule an insulation estimate.
Our in-house crews give you one point of contact for both systems, a standard we’ve held since 2015. TLS holds Florida HVAC License CAC1822364 and Electrical License EC13016589, and every estimate comes in writing before you approve anything. That combined approach lets us weigh cooling performance, heat transfer, and air leakage together, rather than treating them as separate problems.
Licensed technicians, installers and office staff who answer your call and come to your home.
Insulation protects your AC’s efficiency, and the Comfort Club protects the system itself. For $99 a year, members get two seasonal tune-ups and a discounted rate on repairs, so a weak capacitor or low refrigerant charge gets caught before peak summer, not during it.
We offer special discounts to military veterans, first responders, senior citizens, and teachers across Punta Gorda. It’s our way of saying thank you to the people who serve our community every day.
This discount extends to immediate family members, and proof of affiliation may be required. Ask about your eligibility when you schedule service.
TLS is a participating rebate contractor for Duke Energy and FPL on qualifying AC and insulation upgrades across the Punta Gorda area. We help you apply for the right program for your system. The federal 25C tax credit for HVAC upgrades expired December 31, 2025, so ask us which Duke Energy or FPL rebate currently applies to your project.
Reach our dispatch team by phone or our online form, any day of the week.
A licensed technician inspects your AC system or attic and gives you a written, no-obligation quote.
Most repairs and tune-ups finish the same day. Larger installs get scheduled around your availability.
Our crew completes the work to Florida Building Code standards, cleans up, and tests everything before leaving.
We handle any required permit paperwork and follow up to confirm your home is cooling and sealed the way it should.
Much of Punta Gorda was rebuilt after Hurricane Charley struck the city directly in 2004, and that compressed rebuilding window left a lot of homes with insulation installed to whatever code minimum applied at the time, not necessarily the level that performs best after two decades of Florida summers since.
Properties near Charlotte High School, Gilchrist Park, Laishley Park, and the quieter stretch around the Autism Butterfly Garden show that pattern often: insulation that passed inspection in the rebuild years but has since settled well below where it started.
We’ve corrected attic coverage on service calls along Co Rd 765, Madrid Blvd, and both ends of W Marion Ave, bringing those attics up to today’s R-38 standard rather than the number that cleared inspection back then, and checking AC performance against it at the same time.
Homes near the Isles Yacht Club and along the canal network that defines much of Punta Gorda Isles sit close enough to open water that salt-heavy air changes what an outdoor condenser has to survive. That corrosion shows up on coils and electrical contacts faster here than it does a few miles inland.
We check for salt-related wear on every service call near Ponce De Leon Park and the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center, rather than waiting for a system to fail before we look.
Reaching these canal-front streets usually means coming in off 551 Bal Harbor Blvd or 1980 Aqui Esta Dr, and we size replacement equipment and coil protection for the corrosion load these homes actually carry, not a standard inland install.
TLS Air Conditioning & Insulation runs round-the-clock AC and insulation crews across Punta Gorda, covering everything from the canal-front Isles to the blocks near downtown. Call now and get a technician already working near you, day or night, not a voicemail.

One call covers both systems, backed by a written guarantee and crews already working across Punta Gorda. Call us or request your appointment online, and we’ll confirm a time that works for your schedule.
Yes. One crew handles both under licenses CAC1822364 and EC13016589, so a single visit can address a cooling problem and the insulation issue often causing it, from Isles Yacht Club to the neighborhoods near Gilchrist Park.
Our Punta Gorda office at 6150 Golf Course Blvd dispatches crews daily to the Isles and surrounding canal-front streets. Call us and we’ll give you a realistic arrival window before you hang up.
Salt-heavy air drifting off Charlotte Harbor corrodes condenser coils and electrical contacts faster than standard wear accounts for. Homes near Laishley Park and the harbor-facing canals see this most, and we check for corrosion damage on every service call in those areas.
Much of the city rebuilt quickly after Hurricane Charley struck directly in 2004, and insulation installed during that push often met only the code-minimum R-value of the time. Two decades of settling has thinned it further in many attics we inspect.
A diagnostic visit is $125. If you move forward with the recommended repair, we apply that fee toward the cost of the work.
Our $49 tune-up is a 13-point inspection covering refrigerant levels, electrical connections, airflow, and coil condition, the same checklist our Punta Gorda crews run on every seasonal visit near Ponce de Leon Park and Charlotte High School.
Duke Energy and Florida Power & Light both offer rebate programs for qualifying HVAC and insulation upgrades. We’ll confirm which program applies to your address and help you file the paperwork.
For $99, membership includes two maintenance visits a year, priority scheduling, a membership discount, a tune-up and inspection, and an attic check, with no overtime charges on membership visits.
